Crystal Gardens Update

So Josh and I went up to Crystal Gardens and put down our final deposit. Now our final payment is due three weeks before the wedding (November 5th) however we can & will make payments before that date to lower our final payment.

Anyways, I found out a few more details on our room. Right now for the package we picked:

• THE D.J. - (T.J. MONTE PRODUCTIONS)
• THE PHOTO BOOTH - (SHUTTER BOOTH)
• THE CAKE - (TOWN HOUSE CATERING)

Our other options included, invitations (which I already have purchased both envelopes, just need to purchase computer ink & paper & print & assemble) or chair covers.

Without the chair covers our room comes in white or ivory table clothes, includes all dishes, champagne glasses, etc. And looks similarly to this...

(that is about the color & what the chairs look like w/o covers) So looks kind of bland eh? We could dress up with ribbons, table runners, etc.JUST table runners...

OR perhaps we could just do a ribbon sashThe sash's look really nice and do dress up the room, but once everyone is in the room and the lights are dimmed no one really notices them. So I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! If we drop the cake & add the "chair covers" then we are going to have to pay an additional $400-500 for a cake & worry about delivery. We could just buy or make table runners/ribbons/etc. but that is still going to be an extra useless cost. So I am torn... What to do... What to do.....

Suggestions?

Ring Bearer & Flower Girls

This is what I plan on having Isaac do as ring bearer... Similarly carry a fishing pole down the isle with the rings hanging from it in either a blue ribbon or from a small ring bearer pillow that I have.

The girls (Zoey & Sarah - Josh's little sister) will walk in front of Isaac carrying baskets of petals.

Guest Book

I am planning on having the following printed on a canvas with our names and wedding date. This is in lieu of a guest book.

We will then have the canvas sitting outside the reception room with the seating cards. There will be a green ink pad and black pen for guests to put their "thumb print" on our tree and sign their name next to it. When completed it will look something like this....

We will then hang the completed canvas in our house.

First Blog Posting...

Hello and Welcome to my Wedding Blog....

Right now our wedding is 270 Days away and I already have a million and a half ideas for the wedding. I created this Blog so that certain close family and friends could get an idea of my wedding plans. This way no matter the distance, you can still have a part in the wedding planning. I will try to keep the blog updated but as you know sometimes life can get busy and hectic, especially while working, going for an MBA, and raising a 6 year old (This very moment Sam is bugging me to go outside). So this is my first big "test" posting... just to say welcome & thank you for helping me plan my special day.
